    The Baxter clay used to be fantastic but I won't buy it anymore. The reformulated version has a weaker hold, lost that choppy gritty texture, and it isn't really matte like it once was.

    For my thick hair this is a great matte clay, it gives a natural low-shine finish and stays reworkable through the day instead of locking hard. It's been my go-to for a textured quiff.

    True matte finish and it washes right out with regular shampoo, no buildup on my scalp. The only downside is the price for such a small tin.

    Everyone kept calling this the holy grail of matte clays so my expectations were sky high, and honestly it just didn't live up to it for me. The hold felt weaker than I expected for the money.
